Highland Park is located just across the Raritan River from New Brunswick, which offers easy access to trains, buses and highways for commuters. NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor train line runs direct into Penn Station - New York or south to Princeton and beyond. Amtrak trains can take you well beyond the local area to Boston or Washington, D.C. and farther. Local and commuter bus service is also available with a large Coach bus facility located just outside downtown. For driving, Routes 1, 18, 287 and the New Jersey Turnpike are all easily accessible.
